chef Shadia developed an early interest in culinary arts from cooking for family and friends. As a young pleaser of palates she experimented with various culinary styles including Italian, American, Caribbean, Asian, and much more. Her love for the culinary arts and cuisine from various cultures helped to develop her own culinary style of flavor fusion, the incorporation of different spices and food types.

Chef Shadia’s professional career began in New York City, working with the talented and successful Chef Connie Rousseau of Connie Cooks. Under skillful guidance she learned first-hand how to create menus for any occasion. Whether it was developing menus for dignitaries, creating meals for entertainment and fashion executives, or a social gathering, large or small, Chef Shadia excelled.
This passion for food along with the guidance and success of Chef Connie influenced Chef Shadia to pursue a career as a professional Personal Chef. With her Interest in all aspects of the culinary arts, her cuisines have developed through out the years. Chef Shadia decided to bring her experience to her home town of Washington, D.C. and establish Pleasing Palate Personal Chef Service. It’s been 5 years now since that decision and her steady growing clientele will gladly tell you they’re extremely glad she did.
